For nearly two years we were carrying Misty up & down the stairs to our first floor flat, she was terrified of the stairs as we had lived in a ground floor flat when we had her five & a half years ago. While taking Misty on one of her walks I met another dog owner who was having problems with her dog who was always barking while out walking. The lady said she had got in touch with a lady who was a dog whisperer, I told her about Misty being afraid of stairs and she gave me Yvonne’s phone number.
Yvonne came to met Misty and me and my husband, we spent time getting to know each other and Yvonne got to know Misty. We then arrange for Yvonne to take Misty away for an hour to a place were there were stairs and Misty got to meet Yvonne’s dog Lula.
After the hour Yvonne rang me to say she was down stairs out side our flat and that Misty was able to go up and down the stairs, we just couldn’t believe after one hour that Misty had overcome her fear.
I did ask Yvonne when would we see her again thinking that she would need to see Misty a few more times, and we were amazed when Yvonne said “that’s it unless you need me”. We still can’t believe what Yvonne achieved in just one hour. We are so grateful to Yvonne as she has made life so much easier for us. I also felt with Yvonne that she was more a friend than someone who came to our aid and helped Misty through her fear.
